I'm Lyra Ashwood. I've practised the craft for over twenty years — trained in the old ways, taught by women who came before me, and refined through thousands of castings for people at the edge of hope. I don't take every client. I don't promise outcomes I can't deliver. What I offer is honest work, performed personally, with the intention and discretion your situation deserves. I came to this work young — not by choice, but by circumstance. My grandmother was the first person I watched hold a room still with nothing but intention and a candle. She didn't call it magic. She called it paying attention. I've spent two decades learning what she meant. I trained formally under a practitioner in the west of Ireland who had worked the craft for forty years before me. She taught me that the work is only as honest as the person doing it — and that the moment you start telling people what they want to hear, you've stopped being useful to them.

I work with one client at a time because that's the only way I know how to do this properly. Every casting gets my full attention — not a template, not a formula, not a batch process. Your situation is read, considered, and worked on as its own thing. That takes time. It takes energy. And it means I can only take on a limited number of clients in any given lunar cycle. When I'm at capacity, I say so. When I'm not the right fit, I say that too.

How I was taught.

I was trained in the folk magic tradition of the British Isles — a practice passed down through direct instruction, not books. My teacher worked the craft for four decades before she passed her methods to me. What I know, I learned by doing it alongside someone who had already made every mistake. The tradition I work in is old, practical, and uninterested in performance. It works because it's been tested across generations — not because it looks impressive.
